72 hole, stroke play
July 7th may be used in case 72 holes cannot be completed by July 6th. |
| 11. Rules |
This tournament shall be governed by the Japan Golf
Association Rules of Golf and the JGTO Local Rules.
- The field will be cut to top 60 and ties after 36 holes.
- This tournament will be played in 4 days 72 holes of stroke play.
- A sudden-death play-off will be conducted to determine the winner in case of a tie.

- Tour Tournament Money List leader
- Winners from Japan Golf Tour Championship, Japan Open Golf Championship or Japan PGA Championship
- Players representing Japan in the WGC – World Cup
- Players who have won 25 tournaments since the establishment of the tour in 1973
- Player representing Japan in the Dynasty Cup (excluding players recommended by the captain and reserve players)
- Winners of Japan Series or the Japan PGA Match play Championship
- Winners of respective Tour Tournaments
- Top 10 finishers from respective at the 2007 Japan Golf Tour Championship
- Top 5 finishers at the tournament held at the previous week
- Players recommended by the Chairman.
- Top 70 leaders of the previous year's Tour Tournament Money List
- Challenge Tour Order of merit 2007
- Players eligible for the Special Medical Exemptions
- Multiple winners on tour tournaments
- Tour Members who apply to one of the provisions
- Winners of 3 Challenge Tournaments in one year
- Top 25 players on the Official JGT Career Money List since 1973
- Leader of the official Asian Tour Prize Money List
- Winners of Challenge Tournament appointed by JGTO
- Top 5 on the 2007 Challenge Tour Money List
