Throughout the 4days there were over 20 thousand of galleries visited to The 9th UBS Japan Golf Tour Championship ShishidoHills and ended most successfully. To avenge on the last year’s absence from UBS Japan Golf Tour Championship ShishidoHills, due to the unknown illness, Hoshino started the final round with a three- stroke leads and added 2 more birdies in the front nine. It seemed that his maiden major victory was very much solid. However bogeys at 10 and 11 brought his lead back into the battle range and raise the tense in the field. "I felt pressure on the difficult holes"said Hoshino. He quickly restored with the birdies on 12 and 15. With total score of 12 under, 272, Hoshino notched the first major victory, and seized the title of No.1 player in 2008.

Shingo Katayama

On the final round Shingo Katayama was started as the leader, he broke away from Naoya Takemoto who had two strokes behind and Katayama finally won the tournament as a first time with the final score of nine under par. Katayama was also achieved the title of "the number one tour player of 2007." Therefore now Katayama achieved to win all the tournament with the title of "Japan" which are "Japan Open", "Japan Pro", "JT cup" and the "UBS Japan golf tour championship Shishido Hills."

Tatsuhiko Takahashi

The final day was expected with the closed game. Takahashi was started the final day with the leader and he made five birdies and three bogies of total score of seven under to make his second victory of his career. And also Takahashi achieved the title of "the number one tour player of 2006." Tetsuji Hiratsuka extended one stroke on the final day and finished with second. Tsuneyuki Nakajima who started the final day as the second place but he dropped one stroke and finished tied third. Defending champion Kazuhiko Hosokawa finished with total of two over at fifteenth place tie.

2005 UBS Golf Tour Championship Shishido hills final round became very close play-off game between Kazuhiko Hosokawa, Yasuharu Imano and David Smail. Kazuhiko Hosokawa finally won the fierce battle to celebrate his comeback victory. In 2001 Hosokawa was seized with a disease without a known cause. Since then Hosokawa fought with the disease by administration, dietetic therapy and special training then he won for the first time in four years to achieve his 8th victory. Hosokawa was credited for "The Number one tour player of 2005."

S.K.Ho

The fifth JGTC was concluded with play-off. S.K.Ho started the final round with five strokes behind the leader but he made hole in one at 3rd hole and he finished with 68. On the final day S.K.Ho and Tomohiro Kondo played two holes of play-off and Ho won the tournament after being behind. Ho was debut at Japanese tour in 2001 JGTC and only in three years he became the Number one tour player. In 2004 Ho ended with fourth place in the JGTO money ranking by winning JGTC and Japan Pro.

Toshimitsu Izawa

The fourth tournament the venue was relocated to the Shishido hills country club in Ibaraki prefecture. The first champion of JGTC Toshimitsu Izawa conquer the close game and he achieved the second victory. Izawa became the top prizewinner in 2001 but since then he was struggled with his golf swing and he was not be able to win any tournament in 2002. However Izawa overcome his predicamental situation to win 2003 JGTC and became the top prizewinner in 2003.

Nobuhito Sato

Nobuto Sato teed off the final day at the second place with one stroke behind the leader and Sato showed his best performance to made the best score 64. Sato won the tournament after being behind with tournament record lowest total score of twenty under par and he was lead with six strokes from the runner up. In 2002 Sato demonstrated competence to win three tournaments and he recorded second place in the money ranking in 2002 which was his highest place in his career.

Katsumasa Miyamoto

The wind raged over the fields on the final day therefore most of players were falling out of shape but Katsumasa Miyamoto was the only player who played stably and marked under 70. Miyamoto was overwhelmingly won the big title by leading 7 strokes from the second place. Miyamoto challenged the PGA Tour in 1999 but he came up against the international barrier and Miyamoto obliged to came back to Japan with loss of hope. However Miyamoto regain tremendously and won the JGTC and the JT cup.

Toshimitsu Izawa

The first memorial JGTC tournament held at Hourai Country club at Tochigi prefecture. Izawa marked 63 on the first day and he finished the third day by leading 3 strokes. The final day was cancelled by inclement weather. Therefore Izawa became the first champion of the JGTC. Izawa was taking this opportunity to improve his golf game and the following year he became second place at the Nissan Open and he tremendously played at the Masters to became 4th place. Domestically Izawa acquired the top prizewinner as the first time in his career.
